T20 Fan

#1 Post by jrv331 » Sat Apr 28, 2007 1:41 am

Im having the standard problem of my computer getting hot because of the fan not running long enough. Is there a IBM or other software program that will allow me to control when the fan runs? I installed Speedswitch and it seems to help at the cost of a slower cpu speed.
Thanks
John

There is a whole forum dedicated to TPFanControl: 'Thinkpad Utility Work Area' at the bottom of the first forum-group.
You may also want to perhaps replace (or add if t is missing) the thermal grease between CPU and cooler. Arctic Silver 5 comes highly recommended here.
