are you wondering why your hard disk has filled up, even though you've entered very little data? this is because lenovo's built-in software, Rescue & Recovery, does weekly backups of windows files, settings & all data files by default. in my case, each backup file was 12Gb! so, after 4wks, my 80Gb harddrive was full & i couldn't figure out what was using up so much disk space. (these files are located in C:\RRbackups, but windows explorer cannot access them.)
to delete these backup files:
1. click Start, All Programs, ThinkVantage, Rescue and Recovery
2. click Advanced
3. click Delete Backups
4. unless you have reasons to do otherwise, delete all but the latest backup files.
depending on the number of files & their size, this might take a few minutes, so be patient.
you should recover the rest of your hard disk afterwards.
