help: T60 res keeps switching when return from hibernation!

#1 Post by skanky » Mon Apr 30, 2007 2:27 am

i have my t60 hooked up to a dell 2407wfp (1920x1200) and my samsung hdtv (1366x768). usually im outputting to the dell for general stuff which is all well and good, sometimes i want to watch a movie or something so turn the res down and plug the tv in via vga, no problem there at all.

afterwards i set the res back to 1920x1200, do what i need to, then hibernate or standby, however, randomly when returning from hibernation, the res has reset itself to 1366x768! :/

in the time the machine has gone off to the time it comes back on, i havent done anything to it, its still docked, ive no removed any usb device etc etc.

any ideas why its doing that, its really annoying as lowering the res always resizes my firefox window as i always leave that open.

im running catalysts 7.3 and use powerstrip to create the 1366 res, 1360/1368x768 wont display on my tv.

help!

Check settings in the Presentation Director application:

When Thinkpad is docked immediately apply this scheme
Automatically restore default display settings when my Thinkpad resumes from a sleep state

The resume setting never works for me but that might be what is changing your settings.
now: X61, T42p
before: 600E, T23, X20, T40, X40, X31, T60
FS: Travel Bezel, 100GB drive (OEM Lenovo)
