t20 error 0188 bad crc2 or rfid

i have ubuntu installed. And now its beeping when i turn it on, and i cant get into anything. how do i correct this?

It was working perfectly, I guess i want to fresh install ubuntu and start over, how can i do this?

I already backed up my files so i am not worried about that.

Something to try before you think about replacing the motherboard:

Pull the CMOS (backup) battery and measure it with a voltmeter. Anything under 2.7V, replace it. HMM says 2.5V but if it's much lower than the 3V that it's supposed to be then I'd say play it safe and get a new one. Especially if it's still the original factory battery.

its probably a cmos replacement issue. They should be a couple of bucks on ebay and recommended sellers.
