FS: Thinkpad convertible monitor stand (40Y7620) - $45(PIC)

#1 Post by gator » Thu May 03, 2007 9:03 pm

We bought this stand used from ebay for my lab, but it is too tall to fit on my table, so I am putting it up for sale here.

The stand is amazingly built and can withstand a CRT monitor upto 24" with ease. Obviously, it can hold a LCD. You can also use it to mount the LCD panel alone at 4 different heights. It can hold a thinkpad by itself (any thinkpad). But if you want to use a docking station, only the thinkpad T60 advanced mini-dock fits. The dock is not "locked" as such, but is held only by gravity on two tabs.

I don't have pictures right now, but it looks just like this (pics are from IBM's site), and in very, very good condition:

For a CRT monitor:

With the flat panel monitor:

Lenovos sells this new for $79. I am asking $45 shipped. (This weighs 15 lbs. packed, and so shipping is a little expensive.)

Does the manual say what the largest size LCD panel you can mount?

There is no mention of maximum LCD size anywhere in the manual. It just says that this should work great with any VESA mount standard compatible LCD monitor.

I found from the IBM site that this is a compatible part for thier 19" monitor:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-58562

Since it can take up a 19" regular LCD, I'd say that it should work well with atleast 19" widescreens. If you want further info, I think I have to call IBM and ask.
