Way to know what programs are connecting to the internet
Hi,
Is there a way to see what program is connecting to the internet?? I have tried netstat -a in cmd prompt but that really doesn't tell me what program is connecting.

wow thanks i didn't even know such a program existed. however in my computer there is no sent and recieved packets being shown in port explorer but i am my netowork connection status still shows something is sending and receiving information. is it spyware? or is this normal? all i see is that the system processes are listening.
I believe the publisher of Port Explorer has a very comprehensive FAQ that can answer your questions about system processes that typically connect to the Internet.tyanlion wrote:...my netowork connection status still shows something is sending and receiving information. is it spyware? or is this normal? all i see is that the system processes are listening.
I have been using TCPView, been quite happy with it.

I have checked Port Explorer, it looks very nice, a bit more informative than TCPView, but they are doing basically the same thing.
