Bootfailure R30
Hi,
As from to-day my R30 does not boot any more.
After depressing the power switch the only activity are the three leds for power, battery and hibernation going on, and after about 20 seconds you can hear the fan getting active.
The screen remains totally black.
Depressing Fn + F4 makes no difference.
Any suggestions?
Regards Hans

Could well be, but why is it that the hibernation led is on?

Hibernation led is connected to HDD connector, HDD itself and the system board FRU's. This is what R30's manual says.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Thanks,
For your info that I have removed the HD and all Memory but no beebs whatsoever at start-up, so I am afraid that the system board has expired...
