ThinkPad T23 with large LCD

Question - I have a T23 (26474MU) and am looking to upgrade my external monitor. I really need more space!

Will this system work or work effectively with a 22" LCD? I have the port replicator which (if my memory serves me correct) it also has the DVI connection - so I could use either.

But will the graphics adapter even work with this size LCD?

The video chip can support up to SXGA+ (1400x1050) on internal display and UXGA (1600x1200) on external montiors. DVI is not supported on the T23, even though the port rep has a connector. What is the resolution of your 22" LCD? If it's wide-screen I'd say that the factory drivers will not "fill it out". You might have some luck with 3rd party video drivers (Chrometal?).
