Request: New T61 forum

#1 Post by gator » Wed May 09, 2007 2:01 pm

Mods/Admins,

I think that the T61 deserves a new area since it is an entirely new thinkpad. Is it possible to have a new area and move all T61 posts there? I see a lot of speculative and comparative posts coming up and it will be nice to have the T60 area open for problems/deicussions pertaining to the T60 ... just my $0.02.

Me too, mixing T60 and T61 posts may make less immediate to find what one is looking for :)

It was previously T60, now it's T6x.
I think that's OK.
Works Ok with the T4x Forum, as the T40 came out it was also a bit "revolutionary".
Could you imagine it when the list would read as follows:
600 Forum
600e "
600x "
T20 "
T21 "
T22 "
T23 "
T30 "
T40 "
T41 "
T42 "

etc. etc. etc.

No thanks, an absolute nightmare - (what's the key combination for mark all topics as read please?) I think everything is AOK as is at the moment - Maybe at a later date, but that's for Bill and Admin group to decide.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Yes, but every since a few hours T61 threads have been popping out like crazy. I reckon a dedicated section would be nice.

I've not been around this forum as long as a lot of people, but one thing I am sure of; a new model creates a certain level of "excitement", pretty normal I expect for the more "longer term members" I should expect :?:

Pretty sure it's going to remain the T6X for now.

We already have quite a bit of forum proliferation. A T6x forum should be good enough for the foreseeable future. There is already lots of work to keep the Moderators a busy lot. ... JDH
