ThinkVantage Error

Im having problems running ThinkVantage System Updater, ver 3. It goes throught the first three steps then starts the processing packaging information step. It gets to 90% then says it encountered a problem and needs to close. No further explination or error code. I have uninstalled/reinstalled it several times hoping that would fix it but no go. Any suggestions as to what may be the cause?

Have you Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 installed?
