Where are the T42's made?

#1 Post by MommyT » Thu Oct 07, 2004 11:44 pm

Still having inordinate amts of trouble with new T42p- in the depot more than not thusfar. I had not a minute's trouble with my old A series machine. Seems this one was made in China -- so I'm wondering whether All T42p's were made there, and if not, whether quality of product is better in one place or another .

I had a T23 made in Mexico. It is said it's better than those made in China. Well, I just doubt it since IBM should have the same standards of quality control around the world.

Now IBM closed the factory in Mexico. So I guess all of TPs are made in China. In fact, the factory is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

My T42 is from China, too. Nothing to complain so far.
