numpad without numlock

#1 Post by kooshball » Sun May 13, 2007 9:42 pm

hi

is there anyway to press a number on the numpad without having to turn numlock on, press key, turn numlock off?

i need to set up hotkey for warcraft3 but which only uses the number lock numbers(not just normal ones in the top row).

i can't do macro with 3 button combo, only 2. is there anyway to do this?
thanks

There is no way to do what you want using s/w that comes with thinkpads. You can try using some 3rd party keyboard remapping utility (you can use this only when playing games, maybe). A google search should give you plenty of options ...

I also find this annoying. I think it should be default to have JKL, UIO and 789 work as numpad kays when Fn is pressed. I often use numpads on other computers just to enter a few numbers, but on the laptop it's too much of a hassle. I have to search for some kind of utility, that's for sure.
