Sound Devices

#1 Post by ekdya » Mon May 14, 2007 6:13 am

Hi

I have a thinkpad A31.
I have few items listed under Device Manager > Sound, video and game
controllers.

my question is, isn't there suppose to be only one item listed which
is the driver for my sound card?

the items listed are:
Audio Codecs.
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio
Video Codecs

thanks

Check any computer and it uses multiple audio drivers. Each driver provides windows a way to handle different media and hardware. These are perfectly normal and should be left alone.

Hope this helps!
