Touch pad and Trackstick lock up

This happens on my R60 and my Z61M. I put a fresh xp install on both and time to time the touch mouse, keyboard and track stick all lockup upon log in. They work fine during the password (ctrl-alt-Del) page, but as soon as i get past that, it locks up the two mouse inputs and keyboard. I can see programs loading and running on the screen but the input isnt there. I have to press the power button for a forced reboot then all is fine upon restart. Anyone else having this issue?

Are you using the recovery discs for your install, or XP cd's? Are you sure the drivers are installed?

Using a real xp microsoft disc (legal copy), no restore discs. Im sure the driver is there, i mean it works fine but time to time it locks up after logging in, then i have to reboot then fine.
