Will APS work on hard drives in the ultrabay? Or is it a functionality specifically reserved for primary drives?

The white paper on IBM says that APS does not work with Ultrabay HD.

But I also remember someone on this forum telling me that it does. You can put the primary HD in ultrabay and boot from it and check using the real time status if it works.

I cannot find a page that clearly states that Z series have APS support for 2nd drive. But as we know from the TaBook that Z series have Ultrabay Enhanced slot.
From this page
http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/think/thinkvan ... h/aps.html
clearly states that APS is supported in Ultrabay Enhanced slot (Although it is mentioned only R Series).
I think we could safely assume that Z series also supports APS in its second hard drive because it is equipped with Ultrabay Enhanced slot.

a logical explanation for aps support in the ultrabay is....
that they send the same park heads or "reduce sensitivity" commands to the secondary hdd in they bay as well as the primary drive when shocks/tilts/vibrations are detected by the aps chip.
this would be easy to implement.
my logic of needing sensors for the secondary drive was faulty
