Question about making recovery disks on T42p

#1 Post by richk » Mon May 14, 2007 10:39 pm

I realize that you can burn disks once, but I would like to burn another set so I can create a restore DVD. (I now have a DVD burner) If I put in a new HDD and load from the restore CDs, can I create a new set of recovery disks? If the answer is no, can I then restore again from the recovery partition and create a set at that point? Has anyone played around with this?

Thanks

Yes the feature will be enabled again.

Yes this will work as well and it is faster if you take this route since the CDs still need to remove and recreate the hidden partition and copy the files back to the hard disk. The restore from the recovery partition skips this and goes directly to OS recovery.
