I trying to boot from an ISO image of the Ubuntu 7.04 CD i downloaded.
Unlike some people here I can't get past the initial load on Ubuntu, it goes from the Ubuntu logo to a blank screen and hangs BUT I can reboot into Windows XP Pro.
I've made 2 copies so far, one slowly and both hang the same way/place.
I've kept my Z61m up-to-date as far as I can tell.
When I boot the same CD on a Compaq XP Home desktop it works fine.
Anyone have any ideas?

You may want to try a different BRAND of CD-R for your TP, if the CD works in another laptop/drive, OR try another drive in the TP.
