Is it US english version? I am asking this because I see that you are located in Malaysia.

Hello,
khtse wrote:Is it US english version? I am asking this because I see that you are located in Malaysia.
No matter where you're located and which language you're using, because you can get around 15-17 languages pack to download from windows update (if you have vista ultimate).

Each language pack weight around 180-200mb. After installed, you can switch between one and another without matter.

Anyways, all windows have english as native languaje, only interfase change something, so don't expect performance lack or whatever that you think can be asociated with another language.

Good luck.

this software should not really officially be sold - i got a free copy of office 2007 at a microsoft conference, and it comes ina case which says "not for resale"

I don't think its a retail licence either - its most likely Oem - just for people to bear in mind before buying it.

I may be wrong on the above FYI

You are correct...MS promo software is not-for-resale. But that does not prevent people from selling it anyway. I think if you shop around you can find

http://www.newegg.com

has very competive prices for the OEM versions of Vista. I have purcahsed several copies of Vista for OEM installations and this is the best way to go...there are really no restrictions as long as it stays with the installed machine.

The ongoing price of the retail ultimate version is also around $200, just $10-$20 above the price of OEM version selling on newegg. I would go for the retail version myself, at least that gives me the freedom to transfer the license to the next PC that I am going to build later this year.
