Lenovo USB boot ? doesnt work

#1 Post by oneill333 » Thu May 17, 2007 3:57 am

Hi,

I have a Lenovo N100, latest BIOS and I know it is enabled to boot from USB( this its done from the Menu button 2, I think.
Than I go to the Menu button for boot and I have three devices to boot from: CD-DVD, my hard drive, and the third I think it refers to network. I can not setup anything to option 4,5..., At last option there is : Excluded from boot. Again I cant use this option.

In the right panel sais smth like this: "In order to boot from USB, Legacy USB should be enabled"

I mention I dont have any BIOS password, maybe if I use a password I will have total control ?!

P.S. Ive heard that device Im looking to boot from should be named in BIOS, USB-HDD, but I dont see it.

Thank you for answers
Nick

Nick,

The only time this will show up is if you have a USB device attached before you boot.
