Removing Linux partition on Vista

#1 Post by dtzihe » Fri May 18, 2007 2:41 am

Hello,

I currently have three partitions on my computer:
1. Vista partition (NTSF)
2. "Service" partition (FAT)
3. Linux partition (NTSF)

I am trying to merge my Vista and Linux partitions. So far, I have formatted the Linux partition to NTSF using PartitionMagic8.0. I am now trying to merge my Vista and Linux partitions. However, the program will not allow me to do so because the "Service" partition is between them and thus they are not adjacent.

Any advice on what I can do?

Thanks.

I think it is possible to tell Partition Magic to delete the Linux Partition all together and then assign the available free space to the Vista partition only. In the process it will move the service partition and you will have only two partitions on the disk.

Turns our PartitionMagic 8 is not compatible with Vista. I used Paragon PartitionManager 8.5 and it worked fine!
