Blue Screen - Physical memory dump

#1 Post by girish_g_rao » Fri May 18, 2007 3:41 am

Hello I have 6 month old T-60
Recently I installed Symantec Antivirus corporate edition after which every time I try to shut it down I get the horrible blue screen
IRQL_not_equal_or_less

I am running XP with SP2. Automatic Windows update was also done after the installation
I have no problems when working but I am unable to shut down the laptop.
I am forced to power off the Laptop if not it restarts after throwing the blue screen

Can anyone help

Thanks
Girish

Can you press f8 before windows boots next time and select "disable automatic restart on system failure. Then, shut down your computer (to make the BSOD) and copy down and then post the error codes and modules it lists.
