T60P and projector

#1 Post by trevlix » Fri May 18, 2007 10:18 am

Has anyone gotten the function keys to work with hooking up a projector to the laptop? The only way I seem to be able to get a projector to connect is to plug the laptop into the projector and start it from a cold start.

Since this is in the Linux forum, I'm guessing you're running Linux. I have a T60 with the X1400 chip, and the only way I can get the VGA port to work is to (re)start X while a monitor is connected and turned on.

The easy way to do that is to connect the monitor, then log out and back in. Much quicker than a restart.

DOH!

Yes, I'm running Gentoo. Sorry about that. The ATI control panel has an option to turn it on, but unfortunately it doesn't work right away.
