Where can i create a set of recovery cd's?

#1 Post by ajensen » Fri Oct 08, 2004 6:48 pm

I had to replace the hard drive in my 1 month old T42 because of something that happened to the old one (i'm still not sure what). The problem that I am having is that I can't find where on IBM's website I can download the software to make bootable recovery discs to restore my new hard drive to the original factory install. If someone could provide me with a link to that it would be great.

There is no such link.

If you didn't create a set of recovery CDs while the drive was still working you'll need to call IBM and request a set. If you replaced the drive through IBM warranty you shouldn't be charged, otherwise you'll likely need to pay a "small" fee to have a set shipped to you.
