thinkpad 600x super password disable -(i know the password)

#1 Post by TitleSeventeen » Fri May 18, 2007 6:40 pm

i just got a 600x functioning again

and i do know what the password is

however the BIOS really gives no way to remove it, rather just to set one, there is very little instruction, but i am sick of entering passwords every boot up.

BIOS does allow removal. Once in the BIOS password menu, enter the current password, press the space bar and then ENTER key (i.e, don't provide a new password). That should get rid of it.
