Questions/Info re: R60 - model 9461-HYM

#1 Post by MrBean » Fri May 18, 2007 10:48 pm

Hello Everyone,
Been a while since I last posted :)

Anyway, have a question or 2:

I need to buy 10x new Laptops for my Site Engineers in Pulp and Paper, and was considering the R60 9461 HYM.

I would upgrade RAM to 2 gig, but I need the 1400x1050 res for autocad engineering.

Anyone experienced problems with this model? If someone can post pictures of sides, front and back ports it would be appreciated.

Kind regards,
MrBean.

Here's a review of a similar R60. The ports setup should be the same.

I'm running SolidWorks 3D on a 9461-CTO and it kicks butt ok considering the weak GPU (ATI X1400). If your engineers are running autocad in 2D it should be no problem.

Thanx Rodger,
Appreciated ;)

We will be running Acad in 2d, so no rendering. We use it as a basis for our industrial system's programming language.

It will do the job just fine, but I might go for the quaro 140M based R61, as I see it is getting very hard to find the R60, even in Australia.

Will keep you guys posted then.

Br,
MrBean.
