My T40 keyboard Key "UIOP" doesn't have any respone, May I know why? If it need to replace, can I replace with the T60 keyboard?

Have you tried cleaning the keys, removing the letters and blowing compressed air in the area of where the keys are located.

I had it recently on any laptop I used for longer than 2 weeks :)
In my case it was always bread crumbs :P
I think It's something with IBM's design ;)

I just cleaning it, but it still respone.

Hello,

Do you have the same problem by using an external keyboard, or, if you don't have one, using the virtual keyboard :

1. Click on the Start Button,
2. Click on "Execute...", then type "osk" (w/out the quotes),
3. Click on <OK>.

What's happening then ?

If you don't have any problem using those two keyboards, then, it could be a problem with the internal connectors.

It would be intersting to verify that. You'll find how to do using the T40 HMM here :
