Hello everyone,
First of all, it is my first time posting here as I had just gotten myself a mint condition T42 with the specs. below:
-Pentium M 1.8
-2Gb RAM
-15'' XGA (I like it better than the 14'' XGA and SXGA since I hate it when the icons are so small, and for that purpose, I always have my 20'' desktop =D)
-80GB 5400rpm
-warranty until Jan 2009
For $600
Now the woes,
The laptop comes with a clean installation of WinXP, and apparently was not done properly with the IBM Restore disks.
1. I have lost access to the blue IBM Access button so that it is nonrespondant when I press it.
2. When I press the volume up or down key, I don't see the strength bar on my display.
Does anyone know how to fix the abovementioned problems?
Thanks so much,
oh, by the way, I love it!
-Thomas
