#1 Post by Kyocera » Sun May 20, 2007 10:37 pm

I'm trying to sort through the thousands of screws I have to see if I have a T42 HD cover screw for gator, can anyone take a close up shot with a good camera and have in laying next to a ruler so I can see it in MM or inch would be great. :)

If it helps, original hard drive screws for the Thinkpads are generally pretty flat, with a wider than normal slot for a standard flathead screwdriver, and of course, the screw will fit into any spare laptop hard drive that you might have lying around.

Also, they are mostly a dark grey, not a black or silver....but this is all going from memory....

This and this is what I found on ebay, however I'm not sure if they would help you in anyway but could give you some vague idea.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Thanks for those pics, I remember what it looks like now, and the reason I had ordered the screw set for my t42 was because I lost that one too  oh well, there my be one in the pack that will do the job.
