User serviceable parts in a power supply

#1 Post by ChefJohn » Mon May 21, 2007 8:09 am

The Power brick for my 600 has started making a "ticking" sound - lasts for one or two beats after line voltage is removed.
Unfortnately it does not produce andy DC voltage (or at least not enough to boot a 600) - haven't gotten out my volt meter yet.

Is it toast? SHould I "troll" Ebay for a new one?

Should I try and crack it open and try and repair it?
Thanks

There or here in the Marketplace forum.

Probably not too cost-effective to try to fix it (assuming you know what you are doing and can find the correct part(s)).
