Want an X60... buy now or wait?

#1 Post by misheast » Mon May 21, 2007 12:51 pm

I've been wanting to buy an X-Series, but had been waiting to see what the new model would bring. Now that I've seen the minor changes for the X61, I've decided that I don't particularly care whether I buy an X60 or an X61. It's just a matter of price...

Will the prices for an X60 drop a lot once the X61 is available to buy, or are the current deals on the Lenovo website the lowest that they will get? What has happened in the past when IBM/Lenovo has introduced new models?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I can tell you that even though it has been almost two weeks since the T61 came out, the prices of the T60's haven't dropped at all.

Thanks! Hopefully soon I'll be posting as an thinkpad owner too!

You're right, it seems they did the upgrade and are selling the T61 at the same discount of the T60. Maybe they'll do the same with the X61.

Another thing that I just remembered: When the X41 came out, prices of the X40 didn't change much either. Both models were sold concurrently for a while and their prices overlapped quite a bit.
