Outlook Express 6 compacting folders.

This is on my T60P 15" 2623-DDU.

Posted this question this weekend in Windows OS, but it dissapeared.

When I try to compact all folders they appear in the recycle bin
as .BAK files.

Without getting into a hairy fix--- would updating to IE 7 be a simple solution?????

IE7 doesn't come bundled with OE, so no help there.

Does Vista have Live Mail included? I think that's the replacement for OE.
