I recently sent my Thinkpad back to IBM to fix a small problem with the fan (it was making a high pitch noise). I just got it back today and notice that the GPU is running much hotter than it used to. It used to run between 66C and 72C and it is now running at 76-77C almost all the time according to TP Fan Control. The fan didn't used to turn on until the computer was on for 10-15mins or so, and now the fan turns on almost as soon as I boot up the machine. I have no idea why this would be. They did say that they updated the BIOS, could this have caused the temperature rise? If so is there anything I can do to help fix this heat problem? This is a brand new machine and I'm really getting tired of this, its like one problem after another.
FYI I have a T60p 15' with the ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 - 256 MB.
