FS: ThinkPad A21p
My ThinkPad A21p is on eBay as I'm trying to build a pile of money to buy something newer with (or maybe just enough to get an SXGA+ screen for my A31):

Love the blue elements on the keyboard, makes it VERY modern and unique looking...this will go well, I hope...the last one I had went for $230 some three months ago...

Yeah, I pulled the blue and grey keys off a dead A30 and thought they looked at home on that system. I actually spent awhile yesterday debating on whether to list my A21p or my A31 and eventually decided to keep the A31 because I wanted the faster CPU and more RAM.
The keyboard abrasions are visible in that photo but in person, when the screen is on and in use they are barely noticeable if noticeable at all. Because of the s-video input, I've found myself using the laptop as a TV a couple of times. It's also nice to use as an external LCD for an xBox, Playstation or as the case is around here, NES (requires an RCA to s-vid adapter).
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this laptop includes a port replicator since I have a few more of those than I need around here.

Its truly unfortunate how sales go bad like this and eBay still charges the insertion fees. They should at least give refund the full amount since they cannot plug this whole.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Here's a couple of things that you can do (revise your listing NOW before any bids) to minimize the chances of auction being hacked:
- block bidders located in countries you don't ship to
- block bidders without PayPal account
- block bidders with negative score
- make your listing private
- set a reserve price with Buy It Now option and require immediate payment if someone uses BIN
All of these are available to you if you press "show/hide options" while revising your listing. I may be new to this forum, but I'm a seasoned eBay seller.
Best of luck.

Very good advices....ajkula66 wrote: - set a reserve price with Buy It Now option and require immediate payment if someone uses BIN
Isn't BIN option that these scammers dwell on? I have had the same happen while selling some older laptops thay they usually buy them within minutes of posting using the BIN option.

I made sure for this one that you can't bid if you don't have paypal and/or are in a country I don't ship to and/or you have too low of a feedback rating. I stay away from the reserve and BIN options as they usually end up being of little help for me.

If you tie BIN option with immediate payment via PayPal you're in the clear. And, personally, I religiously cancel bids from anyone with 0 feedback, and add them to the blocked bidders list.
Is this 100% foolproof? Absolutely not. But is the best I've come up with so far, and I don't mind sharing it with honest folk on this forum.

Wow, it's the first ever UXGA Thinkpad! It's the most affordable way to get a laptop with such a resolution.
