ThinkPad T4X LCD Panel Natural Life

Anybody knows how many years the ThinkPad T4X series LCD panel will end its life? Normal use.

As with other IBM LCD's, I'm going to say it may last up to 10 years. I have an A31 with a 5 year old A30 LCD that is still brighter and sharper than some new LCDs. This machine is used every day as a media server in my home.

I've had several ThinkPad LCDs that lasted 5 years without an issue.

Maybe someone can comment on design life. It's probably much longer than you'd like to use it. (Of course a part failure can happen even to brand new machines.)

I had a 770 screen fail after nearly 24/7/365/5 years. The only ThinkPad that has ever given me a LCD problem. Out of at least 10 A2xp's not one problem as of yet. Lately the T43p has been used more though. These LCD's are top of the line as far as I can tell and should last and last. Worth any extra penny or three.
