Need help! Bought warranty 1 month ago....

hey there,

i am at a total loss here. i purchased a warranty from lenovo for my old T30 almost one month ago. the warranty still has not gone into effect.

i was originally told that my warranty would go into effect in about 8 days.

i have been going round and round with lenovo direct about this and they keep telling me that they will expedite it and that the warranty will go into effect any day now.

it is 26 days since i placed the order and still no warranty.

anyone else ever have this problem? if so, what did you do about it?

best to call lenovo. check if the purchase went through first...

When I extended the warranty on my T42 it seemed to take a long time but since it was still under warranty I was not too concerned. Seems like it took about a month to show up.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.

For that matter, how does extending the warranty actually work? I see from below something gets mailed to your address, is it some kind of a number/code to enter somewhere on IBM's website?

(I bought an extension early Friday and my warranty is running out tomorrow... Hope I don't get screwed out.)

They send you some papers but you need to check the warranty online to see the extension. http://www-304.ibm.com/jct01004c/system ... nd=5000008
I never had to enter anything online the warranty expiration date just changed.
That was almost two years ago.
