vista sleep not working.... help!

#1 Post by T60DETROIT » Fri May 25, 2007 4:13 pm

can someone help me with this. i searched the forum and couldn't find anything similar.
the sleep function doesn't work since i've upgraded to vista. it just goes to a black screen but the fans and hd are still on as if it's still working. i've tried waiting for a long time and it never goes to sleep. hybernate works but i'd like to use the sleep mode. i have all the latest driver and bios updates. what am i missing?

Searching the posts here again will show you that you are not alone on this issue.

Basically vista drivers suck, and sleep funtions like dirt. Use Xp til next gen sp or driver updtate. Lenovo has not resolved all driver issues with vista as of yet.

I have never had a problem with the sleep function and I use it all the time. I do not however use a dock which can cause similar problems. Attached usb devices can cause this problem. Make sure you are using the latest power mangement driver and utility program.
