typing number from alphabetic keypad in T40

hi,

How do I type number using alphabetic keypad? I need this because when I need to insert certain character like ö,ä, é. In desktop PC, it was possible using combination of alt and numeric keypad. but how do I do same in laptop?

hey guys,

I have found the solution. IF you dont know then do following:
1. Just above F11 key, you can seen NumLk+ScrLk key.
2. you have to activate NumLk key.
3. So hold shift and press NumLk+ScrLk key.
4. You should see NUM LOCK:ON message above the lower-right status bar.
5. or, open a notepad and test it.

now I can type those special characters...é hold alt and type 0233
