Have you played Enemy Territory on your T41/2p?

#1 Post by Dead1nside » Sat May 26, 2007 4:10 pm

My T41p, with it's new system board for about a year now can handle games like Quake 3 easily. But there's something about Enemy Territory that it doesn't like, once you start trying to play an online game, it freezes. This happened on a desktop PC of mine due to heat problems.

Has anyone with a T41p or T42p managed to play this game? What online FPS' have you managed to play?

Thanks for the reply. I think the CPU is the problem. Is it a very CPU rather than GPU intensive game? I guess since it's an RPG isn't it? That there's quite a lot going on in the CPU.

Cheers.

SWG stresses both the CPU and GPU. There are great graphics, POV settings, sound, network, player locations and so on to keep track of. The game is quite resource intensive. It is a blast to play though.

I know, this is a very old post, but i was searching very long for a solution, and the last omega driver is the solution.

The problem is, the graphic card of the T41p/T42p (FireGL) has OpenGL drivers for special Cad programms, and OpenGL games like Wolfenstein Enemy Territory or Doom3 can not handle the Cad OPENGL drivers.

Omegadriver (Version ATI Omega Driver W2k/XP Version 3.8.252 ) are the solution for this.

You can download it for example:

Here
