F1 Monte Carlo Lenovo

#1 Post by Brad » Sun May 27, 2007 4:01 am

Any F1 fans out there?

I am watching the big race (practice and qualifying, race broadcast starts 7:30am EDT SPEED) and I see MANY Lenovo signs along the route.

I like Formula One cars, used to watch it alot, but now it's very time consuming for me.

Speaking of lenovo sponsor, I think I see IBM sponsors during tennis tournaments of French open and Wimbledon almost every year.

I love watching F1. I used to be really into it a few years ago. However, my family does not have any fancy satellite or digital cable, so I could only watch when ABC or ESPN aired it, which was rare. Ferrari Formula One always made me excited!

Lenovo got a fair bit of airtime in the race, with the in-car camera in Wurz's car look behind, at Raikkonen's Ferrari and the big Lenovo logo on Wurz's rear wing.

You could always record it, edit out the commercials, and watch the rest at 'fast preview' speed...
Question: how could watching it NOT be time consuming?

very good suggestion.

It has always been, but things can get more messy when you've two kids in 1-3 year age group and you and your wife work on alternate days and have to look after them alone, separately.

I'm a fan of F1 too! As a matter of fact motorsports is the only sports I see on TV (I not use to watch TV everyday) but watch qualify and race LIVE, doesn't matter if it's on Bahrain, or in Fuji!! (now replaced Suzuka).

I'm a fan of Alonso big time since he got his first pole back in Malaysia 2003 on his Renault days. He finished that race using manual shifting (back in those days gear changing was made automatically).

I enjoyed F1 at Monaco. I was suprised to see so many Lenovo signs and then when viewing the laptops in the pits they seem to be Dell's or HP's.

RBS, use the commercials to get some more of the RBS....

Glad to see some F1 fans here. As a matter of fact I only like motorsports, don't like soccer, football, etc. F1 my favourite category.

Canadian GP is this weekend, Mclaren is dominating, Ferrari is panicking because they now seem to play catch up as they were considered favourites for the Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
