T60p and AutoCAD

#1 Post by infrd » Mon May 28, 2007 6:11 am

I just installed AutoCAD on my T60p, but at the moment it seems hardware acceleration could not be activated for some reason. The option for it is greyed out, and it had this to say when doing the initial automatic performance tune up:

Performance Tuner Results Log
Version: 17.1.0.1
Date of Last Tune: 29/05/2007

Machine Configuration
---------------------
Processor Speed : 2.3 GHz
RAM : 1022 MB

3D Device
---------
Name :
Manufacturer :
Chip set :
Memory : MB
Driver :

Hardware acceleration is not available because DirectX 9.0c or one or more of its components have not been installed properly.

Current application driver: Software

Current Effect Status:
----------------------
Geometry acceleration: Not recommended and off
Smooth line display: Not available
Gooch shader: using software emulation
Full-shadow display: Not available
Texture compression: Not available

Available application drivers and effect support:
-------------------------------------------------
Software driver
Effect support:

Geometry acceleration: Not available
Smooth line display: Not available
Gooch shader: Software emulation only
Full-shadow display: Not available
Texture compression: Not available

OpenGL driver: Not Certified
Effect support:

Geometry acceleration: Available
Smooth line display: Not available
Gooch shader: Software emulation only
Full-shadow display: Not available
Texture compression: Not available

Direct3D driver: Not Certified
Effect support:

Geometry acceleration: Available
Smooth line display: Not available
Gooch shader: Software emulation only
Full-shadow display: Not available
Texture compression: Not available

Anyone can offer me some clues as to how to fix this? Oh, and I have the video driver installed and running fine, and DirectX 9.0c IS installed having checked dxdiag.

Thanks

Go to display /video chip settings - you can activate autocad support there in ATI Control center.
