Will a T23 do what I need?

First post here!!! I need to replace my OLD Toughbook CF25 with something more modern, after a lot of research it seems like some of the best notebooks are IBM T type. Looking on E-bay there are lots of good deals on T23's, all I want to do with it is store the pictures from my Canon G5 digital camera when I take vacation trips and also use it for getting online while staying in hotel/motels. I really know nothing about wireless, how well does the 802.11b wireless work on this model? What's the range the antenna will work? Some sellers advertise T23's with built in wireless. Do they all have the built in antenna and mini-pc card? If not do the external pc card type work as good? Thanks

All of these do not have the built in wireless. The built in wireless works better than a PC card type because the antena is in, or rather around the display. Hope this answers some of your questions. The built in type works amazingly good, but the PC card type does a decent job.

If it's advertised as having "Built in" wireless does that mean it has the built in antenna too?

YES. You can ask for the model number and then check on the IBM site.

I think the range is influenced by the structure and the material of the house you stay to operate the wirless device. I suggest that you refer to some information via search engine online. You could observe the screen frame to see if the attena had been built in.
