Frankenpads?

#1 Post by spotter » Tue May 29, 2007 5:27 pm

Just wondering if this is possible. To buy a 15" T60 (say w/ the SXGA screen) and swap LCDs w/ my UXGA T42p. :)

Any thoughts? I'm working w/ an SXGA 14" T60 and right now and I must say, I miss the resolution :(

Really not a good idea. The high-voltage that runs the backlight is on the same cable as the display signals, and panels are very different WRT their wiring.

If you find that the part numbers are the same, though, give it a go.

Off Topic: This is never the case with any LCD panel.

You're right of course. No idea where I came up with that.
