How to upgrade the MultiRecorder firmware.
You need a USB stick which can be made bootable, and you must enable boot from USB devices in the bios.
Making your USB stick bootable:
Download this tool from HP http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files ... 20306.html
Download dos files from:
http://www.aaltonen.us/mirror1/HPUSBFW_BOOTFILES.zip
Then format your stick with, pointing “Create a DOS startup disk” to the location of the unzipped BootFiles. You will understand when you start the HP program.
Download the latest firmware from IBM.
The program requires a floppy disk so make one on a PC with a floppy drive.
Create a folder on your USB stick and copy the floppy files into this folder.
Then restart booting from the USB stick.
Enter the folder which you created.
Then start the LDR_BZ01.EXE program and watch while your drive gets its new firmware.
