Ultrabay Slim HDD for T42, what kind of drive can I use?

Hi!

I know you can't just replace the drive that comes with the laptop, without bumping into to issues (unless you stick to generic).

But what about a non-option drive in the HDD adapter? Can I use any kind of PATA 2.5" drive in the bay?

as far as i know yeah, you can use any 2.5" 9.5MM drive in there. Also with the main drive too, the T43s have that problem with the non-oem HDs. I'm using a WD drive in my laptop now and never gave me one bit of problem

You can put about anything in a T42 for the main drive. Same for the ultrabay. It is the T43 that is picky.
