How to disable Access Connection?

Hi all, I forgot how to disable Access Connection
I want to connect to some wireless network (which seems to have problem with AC) using window's network connection function

Not sure if this helps, but you can configure a wireless network with Windows through Access Connections. The option is in the security pulldown menu. This has helped me with a few networks that I trouble connecting to with AC. Your other option would probably be to disable all the services associated with AC, namely Ac Profile Manager Service and Access Connections Main Service. Also, you probably want to uncheck any AC applications in the MSCONFIG startup tab.

The problem is: I can see only 2 tabs in the Properties of "Wireless Networks Connection" and there's no "Wireless Networks" tab
I've struggling to try to get that tab reappear... so as to select "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings"

Let me post the update when I succeed... I remember I did that some time ago

And what are the two tabs that you see? Are you sure you have the appropriate Wireless Network adapter chosen? What exactly is the name of the Wireless Network adapter that you see (the bottom line of faint text next to the adapter icon)?

Another approach is to right-click on the wireless icon in the taskbar, select "View Available Wireless Networks" and, when you get the message saying, "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection, blah, blah, blah" click "Change Advanced Settings" on the lower left. Maybe coming in the back door, so to speak, will get you in

Turned out the problem is my another network connection client, which is Cisco Secure Services Client:
I tried stopping the service of Access Connection, and it didn't help; and then I tried looking around and try stopping that Cisco running service, and then the third tab in wireless network property reappeared

The short story is, AC took control and then Cisco took control after that

1. If u unable to see wireless network tab in the properties what u can do is start > run > service.msc
look for windows zero configuration,
start the service and in recovery tab set first failure second and subsequent failure to restart the service

now u will have the wireless network tab in d properties,

2. check the box "allow windows to configure wireless"

3. open access connect click "configure > global setting > uncheck last third option "enable automatic wireless lan radio control "

thats how u disable the access connection, if u dun do this steps in access connection your wireless connection will intermittently get disconnected as access connection will try to take over your windows configuration
