to be honest, i haven't done a scientific test. i also have had eco mode on, which limits the battery to 80 percent to prolong the battery life, and i extrapolated based on the amount of time the 80 percent gave me what I would have gotten out of 100. I would guess that there is a condition under which you could get at least 6 hours from the machine, since i'm not that far off and use a pretty bright screen with pretty high cpu usage. I'll run a test to see what it tells me with only word and fully dimmed screen with Aero off.
