Hello:
I recently undertook to replace the failed system board in my friend's A22m Laptop. I got an unused A22m mobo from eBay and performed the operation. The laptop will display through an external monitor plugged into its vga port, but not through its own LCD display. Other than that, everything works fine. Some facts:
The laptop in question is an A22m 2628-Sxx series which I gather might be a little unique because when you look for a BIOS update the BIOS for the 2628-Sxx series is different than for the other A22ms. I'm guessing the diiference must be in the Video department because the S series has all the same drivers except for the video drivers.
Is it possible that the Motherboard I purchased is not compatible with the display on the 2628-Sxx series laptop?
The display is a 15.0 inch SXGA+ .
Thanks,
Paul
