My T42 2379-DYU "Shipped" (?)

My university ordered my T42 through our IBM educational representative, and just got the order number and link to the IBM tracking screen today. The status of my T42 says "Shipped on 5/21/04" !!! But, there is no tracking information and it says "Call" under estimated ship date. Has anyone seen this before, and if so does this mean that the unit has really shipped?

I am suspicious because as part of the same order, I got the AC/DC combo adapter and the optical travel mouse. Both also shipped (with full tracking information) on 5/21.

I am guessing that if the laptop itself has indeed shipped, it has probably shipped from Hong Kong. But others have still gotten tracking info in this case.

The interesting thing is that the AC/DC combo adapter is coming from Guadalajara, Mexico while the travel mouse is coming from Raleigh, VA. This is truly and international order.

no, it has not shipped, im in the same situation with my 2373-3VU, it says Call so i called, turns out the laptop is backordered, i was told it would ship sometime towards the end of the month so its gonna take about a week

at least i got my shipping upgraded from ground to 2 day due to the delay

2379DYU ordered on 5/13/04 shows expected ship before 6/18/04.
2379DXU ordered on 5/13/04 shows currently packaging/configuring (~5 days).
