Volume hotkeys

#1 Post by popcorndrink » Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:19 am

Hi guys,

For some reason when I press the volume buttons next to the "Access IBM" button the green little display in the bottom of the monitor won't appear even though the buttons are working. I belive I have the newest audio driver and SoundMax (ThinkVantage software installer doesn't say I need any updates).

So my question is how do I get the green little display to appear when I hit my volume buttons?

PS. I have a ThinkPad 41

It seems to be burried in the display properties. Try right clicking on your desktop , selecting properties, then settings tab, click the advanced button, select the on screen display tab and tick the on screen display box.

Hope this works

You need the Hotkey Features driver. But first check the following: right-click on an open area of the display, choose > Properties > Settings > Advanced > On Screen Display, and make sure the box is checked "On-screen display".

Thanks. I can't seem to find the on screen display tab. I have a Danish charset though. Can you take a screenshot to illustrate it? I have a lot of ATI tabs.

Posting pictures is a bit beyond me but you can also find it in:

Start Menu, Programs, Access IBM, Thinkpad Configuration Program then selecting the display menu and then On screen display

Thank you so much everybody! I did in fact lack hotkey driver. When that was installed the on-screen tab appeared :P

Thank you again for your great help.
