Thanks, but it only lists out what are the ways to clean the LCD. Didn't say anything about removing a light scratch.ryengineer wrote:Here

What do you mean by "scratch" exactly? If you've cut into the screen, that's irreversible.

A scratch is irreversible.
If it were a glass or plastic, then you have the opportunity to try either a polish/filler, or a mild abrasive.
The former method microscopically fills the scratch so that the scratch is not visible when a light is shined upon it. The latter method polishes the unscratched area so that your entire screen will appear optically equal.
Unfortunately, this is an LCD screen, so none of the above applies.
You would just have to clean more carefully next time.

The scratch can only be seen on a dark background. However, as what Tommms has mentioned, it just sucks.... since it is irreversible. I have no idea how the scratch got there in the first place because I am always careful on what I use to clean it. I only use Radtech's Optex Cloth.

If it is a type of plastic, then there should be a solution for the problem I have?Tholek wrote:Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the coating on a LCD a type of plastic?
Has anyone tried things like Vaseline? How about Radtech's pricey Ice Creme?

Candle wax (cold) or Vaseline does help considerably. I've used white candle wax a couple of times and the improvement is impressive.
Just rub the candle on the scratch, then buff with cloth.
